How to order spot colors safely
- In your artwork, define spot colors as dedicated spot/ink swatches in your design app (not as CMYK approximations).
- In your order notes, state:
Use spot color: Pantone 123 C(or your required number) and supply the exact reference from your official guide. - Remember: screen colors vary. For color-critical work, request a contract proof or provide a printed reference.
Cal-Print House Palette (screen reference only)
Important: On-screen colors are approximate. The house palette above is for web reference only and is not a substitute for press proofs or official spot-color guides.
FAQ
Do you match Pantone spot colors?
Yeswhen you provide the exact text reference from your official guide (e.g., Pantone 123 C). We do not display or reproduce Pantone color chips on this page.
Can you convert a Pantone to CMYK/RGB for me?
Conversions are context-dependent (paper stock, finish, profile). Our prepress can advise during job setup, but any conversion is an approximation unless printed and approved.
Why a Cal-Print house palette?
To give designers quick on-screen references for digital previews and internal communication. These are not Pantone equivalents and are not intended for color-critical decisions.
